The distinctive hammered texture on the outer surface evokes the structure of marine rocks and the corrosion left by salt and time. The vessel's organic, irregular structure and massive form evoke associations with ancient ritual vessels or artifacts recovered from the seabed.

The interior of the vase is glazed in shades of light brown, creating a deep, undulating pattern. The exterior is matte with a rough texture.
